Practice Makes Perfect!
Every day is an opportunity to do something new and exciting. Some are aware if this, while others need to "wipe off their lenses". The thing is to just start becoming aware. One of the best ways is to pay attention to something you want to accomplish. Whether it be something small or BIG, and once you find it the hardest part is to start. Usually most people avoid something until it takes up mental space in your head and whenever you think about it you cringe at the thought of doing it. Well, guess what, its as simple as just STARTING.
The reason is because many people focus on the results instead of the process. Every thing you do has a beginning a middle and end. When you focus on the process you have the opportunity to see yourself grow. Most of the time the only roadblock was the one in your head. After you get past that there is a sort of heighten awareness and you tend to get swept up in what you are doing, with focus you get ideas, you tune into more opportunities and get a sense of accomplishment out of the process. Once this happens you truly understand that the process is a way of building your character. You develop a positive belief because you act with confidence from the process. The next step is to repeat this thought process with any of your tasks, goals, or dreams regularly on a consistent basis. All this will show in the results, and you can guarantee the result will show to others as well as show through you!

The Blueprint For Wealth (And Not Just Of The Pockets)
Recently with this last release I noticed much success from our "TSE Generals" Tee on the net and word of mouth, Naturally I go back to the drawing board, and thats usually back to literally working on more artwork or going deeper into improving myself because in my opinion being a sharper me will keep my thoughts keen on what is going right, which will trickle down into more focus and a sharper TrendSetters Elite for everyone. So going through my day to day much of the time I'm focused on learning, improving, empowering, helping, and figuring out the game of life. For years I've been into self improvement books, tapes, videos, activities, seminars, and ideas. I think once you get into them you realize a constant learning is what you fall in love with and better results are achieved. This information I am sharing with you is an accumulation of many of the things I've learned, experienced and even unlearned (Yes I said unlearned). Recently I've refocused much of my efforts with TrendSetters Elite Clothing Co and seem to have found a good improvement in my results because of this refocus. And best of all my efforts are more fulfilling then ever! I'll explain as much as I can in this entry.
Now for growth to happen within our family life, business life, relationships, and other aspects of our lives it would seem to be common sense to pay attention and improve on the positive areas, and do away with areas that aren't beneficial to growth and reaching our full potential in whichever of those area. Although that sounds easy many of us tend to put our focus on why things aren't good in certain areas. Which isn't a bad thing if its briefly, just to figure how to solve the problem. YET it is detrimental if we dwell upon them regularly. There is a way to change these thoughts, and thus lead to unlocking our full potential for improving our family, friendships, and even how we earn money! Now I know your thinking, "Tell me how do I do this" Which I will in this blog, BUT first I will tell you WHY you are doing this. Im going to put it in a few examples to better explain these thoughts and ways to change your results from what you are receiving to what results you dream of receiving!
First, Don't be offended by anything I will be saying, Some of this information will be generalized and in no way am I talking down to any persons' situation. Some of the time you will see that these habits or thoughts apply to you or someone close to you. Second many of you will feel that you don't want to believe, and that is fine, You don't have to read on, but to those that do be openminded and be aware of the habits that do apply to you and retrain yourself for success.
Now to the root...
Throughout our lives we learn much of our ideas from other peoples thinking. We hear things from teachers, parents, friends, television shows, and so on and take them to be the only truths. We hear generalizations and stereotypes from others that with time (and repetition) we start to subconsciously believe. In the subject of family, we may have heard things like "The man is supposed to work and earn the income and a woman's place is at home" or "Only a man can raise a boy" or "Children should work hard to get good grades and go to college". In the subject of money you may have heard things like "Don't get a credit card they are bad" or "Save for a rainy day" or "Wealthy people are greedy" or "Get a great job and you will be secure". Now all these things may have been beneficial (or not beneficial) to the people who told you them. Most of the time their situations: relationship wise, finance wise, and family wise will reveal if it was or wasn't. Yet even still there are a lot of factors that make them not so applicable to you.
Over time, with the repetition of hearing these patterns of thoughts, we start to subconsciously believe them and what we think tends to trickle down into our actions. What we hear consciously we can accept or reject, but what we hear and think that is repeated (especially in our younger years) over time will be embedded into our subconscious and we CAN'T reject what goes into our subconscious. Then what happens is we start to put into action (unknowingly) what is in our subconscious. This applies for what we hear, what we see and what we feel. So for example if we SEEN our parents and others working for money, we generally will decide to work for money, again unknowingly doing it because its what was embedded into our subconscious as the way to earn money. Or hearing "Save for a rainy day" we eventually get into a habit of managing our money in savings accounts, or safe ways of holding onto. These things can be beneficial for many, the masses. if your goal is to be secure, or comfortable it is ok. BUT if your goal is to thrive and not just survive, and unlock your potential in any area you have to reprogram your mind. I've heard it called changing your blueprint. The way to do that is to first focus on your goal in the specific area, then do away with the "old" blueprint and write a new one. Then once that is done, put the new one in front of you constantly, so you repeatedly see, hear, and most importantly FEEL the new blueprint. So back to the examples, if you've seen your parents working for money and you have other plans to have more freedom or work for yourself put pictures in your house of yourself on vacation as your screen saver or around your house, record yourself explaining how excited you are that you started a business that you are passionate about because it has lead you to financial freedom and lead to a life that you feel you control. FEEL yourself in the house you will attain when this goal is reached, or the store, or the car you will be driving. Really feel it! If you want to change your thoughts on just saving your money but having it work for you, think first positively. So back to the example "Save for a rainy day" First why would you save for a rainy day? That is a negative statement, are you expecting a dull gloomy day to come where everything will go wrong and you will have to spend your life savings? Make the thought positive, save for an AMAZING opportunity would be a better reference. Now repeat this by sight, and hearing and feeling. Now every time you save a dollar, five, or 10 million you will also think of good opportunities to use the cash for (Hopefully something that will be an asset which will make your money grow even larger).
All of these ways of changing you're thinking help you to develop new ways to think more for yourself and not from dogmatic views. The new ways are now YOUR ways of thinking, and all this will trickle down to your actions, people will feel what your passion is because you subconsciously have habits that work towards your ideal life. In any aspect of life this works, it creates confidence in how you speak, how you walk. Your actions have a purpose, to benefit you, your family, your community, each person you come in contact with. You become someone who naturally gives off a aura, a person who is committed, dedicated, empowering. A person who has more control of what happens in their life, and not just is at "effect" of life. Living like this everyday is not an obstacle, it is a step towards your full potential...and to think it can begin with just one NEW thought in which you see, hear and feel and most of all that is YOUR thought!
Hope this is beneficial, its what I've learned, experienced and can see working in my life. Im sure if you put some of it into use it will provide good towards yours.

Lost & Found
Recently while speaking w/ a friend I found out he had one of our tees in which I didnt even know existed. Not EXACTLY a full tee, a sample that was made by one of the embroidery companies I use for TSE. His mom just so happen to be apart of that company. So when we spoke of it I didnt believe he had the tee at first. It even has a "1 of 1" embroidery on it. You learn something new everyday!

The Process Continues...
Ever since starting TrendSetters Elite Clothing Co I can honestly say I feel like the point I started from and the point that I am at in the learning process (Every business is a learning process) has jumped leaps and bounds. Being in the clothing industry you have many areas to keep learning so your CONSTANTLY on top of the game. From making sure the clothing is sharp print-wise, has a comfortable fit, has attractive designs, the garments are made in quality facilities (Anti-Sweatshop), and not to mention the business side your hands can be full. So lately I've been learning different techniques such as spot printing, CMYK, and simulated printing/color seperation. This way the brand will get better and better and I'll have the knowledge to keep the clothing top notch and come with some unique prints! Also speaking on the quality of garments, the company I go through has one of the top facilities, rated among the highest in the industry for quality in garments and quality in working conditions. So rest assured the garments from TrendSetters Elite are quality made and set the same high standard for their working conditions as set for the high quality of the garments.

Troop
Much of my interest throughout the day, When not working on designs, networking, selling, blogging, and just running around during my daily grind I am researching vintage clothing as well as European and Japanese design. Brands like Bape, Comme Des Garcons, An BBC are big names nowadays, But many people are realizing many of those designs are a spin on some of the older brands and Vintage garments has been making a revival. Brands like MCM, Troop, An Le Coq Sportif having been poppin up, and for a pretty penny. The designs are dope, colorful and consist of all types of fabrics. Many of these brands are where we get our inspiration from and once we get into the field of "Cut & Sewn" clothing we will start to reveal more of our edgy ideas and exclusive style and image for TrendSetters Elite.

Pay It Forward!
About a year ago today a few friends of mine and I were eating out, conversing about TSE and ideas to get our first designs out, and how we could contribute to other groups with the mindset of helping grow a business as well as contribute good to their community. After our meal we went to pay and to our surprise the waitress explained to us that the lady across at the other table,whom none of us had known, overheard our conversation and decided to pay for our meal. Now we knew somewhat of the concept but it encouraged us from that day to learn more and put into our habits the idea of "Paying It Forward". "Pay It Forward"is an expression that is used to describe the idea of asking a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead. We wanted to get into the habit of contributing to another persons day with just the simplest gesture. We even talked to the extent of having a special day dedicated to it.
So from time to time we notice the deeds being done and today another gesture happened to open my eyes to the talk we had a year ago. Someone at a local carwash I was at left a few dollars to whomever came to that bay next, and it just so happened to be me. I was very impressed by the gesture so I did the same for the next person. Now what Im getting at is that with such a small gesture of kindness the feeling I received from knowing that there are others out there in the community that understand that this concept was amazing. The whole thing behind Paying It Forward is to encourage others to help their fellow man to contribute to the next. It may be seem small but with the cooperation of others it can grow to make a big difference in many peoples lives and habits. That is the power of individuals working to make change for the better, which is a great thing. So any opportunity you have today, Pay It Forward no matter how small or big you think it may be.

ALL Business, ALL Fun
Over the past week or so the focus on TSE has been on new designs as well as making more connections with new friends as well as old friends. It has also consisted of one of my favorite times of the year, VACATION.
So to kick off the vacation I headed down to Texas and met up with artist J Kelz aka Kasanova Kelz, as well as CEO Darrell Dials Jr of Aviator Klub Music Group. We kicked it, spoke of upcoming events, plans for the future, as well as involving him and the AKMG in plans for the future w/ TSE Collaborations. We even had a nice photoshoot and interview with Kelz, and I (Kenneth A. Baker Founder Of TSE Clothing Co) The time spent was great! We had the opportunity to see the area, eat at great local restaurants, hear some exclusive tracks and just soak in the good ol' southern hospitality. Keep on the lookout for Kelz on tour dates in The Smokers Club and opening for some big artist in the SA and Houston Area in the near future. Photos and interview dropping soon, So watch the blog!
Next on the agenda was Los Angeles California. Meeting up with old friends in the area! There is always something special about reunited with great friends and exchanging stories. Seeing the progress of each others careers, goals and dreams is inspiring. We had the opportunity to check out a fashion show being held with one of our good friends being one of the major designers, as well as hitting Universal City Walk, Hollywood Blvd, Venice Beach, some good eats at PF Changs, and last but not least Roscoes Chicken and Waffle. The trip turned out amazing and will definitely be remembered. Happy to see everything turning out and dreams being attained, special Thanks to Artists, Designers, Visionaries Brock, Darrell Dials Jr, Perla, J Kelz, James, And Cristal for all the help and support. NO Goals
Recently while working on my clothing line I met with a great man whom is a great mentor. This mans knowledge on tasks and efficiency is vast and when it comes to margins he is very aware of the actual cost and profit off of products and services. He is very intrigued and sharp on the knowledge of Apple CEO Steve Jobs and his views on organization and planning. So while working on implementing some of the ideas he set forth for me with my clothing line TrendSetters Elite, I realized how I plan, or my process.
Starting off I don't set goals to be exact. Goals tend to get in the way, if you think about we give them credit for our accomplishments, but THEY didn't do the work. They may have given us direction but the work was done on a daily basis. Then on top of that we have to asses how we are coming on our goals. its almost making a boring process out of our passions, keeping us focused on what we are going to achieve and when.
INSTEAD of focusing on when and what I am going to achieve in the future, I stay excited on what im doing now. You know what you should be doing and the only thing to do is focus, which isn't a problem because your excited about doing it already. GOALS KEEP YOU FOCUSED ON ONE PATH, WHICH MAY NOT BE THE BEST ONE A WEEK A MONTH OR A YEAR DOWN THE ROAD. They keep you fixated on ONE thing instead of being open to new opportunities that arise regularly when you are present in the moment. Being without specific goals actually allow you to be free to pursue what your passionate about. Being liberated from goals means you will be excited about what your doing, you'll be itching to start on them because the gratification you get from doing what you feel should be done. And YES you'll accomplish things! You'll get somewhere great, you just might not have known you'd end up there when you started!

The Road Ahead
So recently the process of building TSE has had some rather exciting opportunities pop up ( In which I am still keeping under wraps somewhat) But trust work is being done, in preparation for a popular Trade Show and feature work, we are still preparing new design quoting and printing, stationary items, as well as more line sheets. First event should be a great experience, but until then, we'll keep driving under the clear skies...

Elasticity
Lately there has been a lot of brainstorming for the line TrendSetters Elite Clothing Co, On to which direction will give us the best freedom. New opportunities bring new choices. The growth has been nice and steady. We are loving how fast word of mouth spreads, and soon we will be exposed on a bit larger scale. In the past few weeks there has been a few great new opportunities that have arisen, ones in which will be recorded in the next few months to come! Keep on the look out!
Now back to the point, Just like in economics there is the concept of Elasticity. When the efficiency of doing something goes up the demand for it goes up! And with this demand the marketing changes and the development changes. We have now been getting attention of some names and groups that are doing great things and with great pleasure TSE is in the works of doing some collaborations! Also we are in the works of getting into some Trade Shows as well as showing more of the process so our fans and friends can see more of what keeps us climbing! Photoshoot
Recently I was giving the opportunity to do a Photo Shoot for a local company to promote business in my city's down town area. The call was unexpected and the outcome was even more unexpected. Just so happens the company that I was the model for happened to be the same company I use to print many of my shirts. We actually JUST finished printing a batch of 60 Tees so I even got to do a little promo for TrendSetters Elite in the photo. The owner and the photographer as well as I were all pretty excited how everything seemed to fall into place. I'll just say it was destiny:)
